Privacy Policy Statement

Hong Kong Heart Failure Society (“HKHFS”) will collect the personal data from various sources of data subject (person). We respect personal data and are committed to implementing and complying with the data protection principles and the relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

  • Provide communications related to the work of HKHFS

Personal data collected by HKHFS will be kept confidential but HKHFS may disclose such information to the following parties directly related to above-mentioned data collection purposes:

  • Any co-organiser, agent or other third party involved with HKHFS in organising activities
  • Any statutory, government or regulatory bodies or institutions for compliance of any statutory requirements or laws that bind HKHFS

You have the right of access to, and correction of, personal data kept and used by the HKHFS in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. HKHFS keeps personal data for such period that is necessary for the fulfilment of the purposes for which the data was collected or as required or permitted by applicable law.

HKHFS takes all reasonably practical measures to protect personal data, whether stored physically or electronically, and prevent unauthorized or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss or use (including transfer). Personal data is stored under lock, encrypted or password-protected as necessary. When HKHFS engages a data processor to process personal data on its behalf, contractual or other means are adopted to prevent unauthorized or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss or use (including transfer) of the data transferred to the data processor.
